Hyderabad.27.09.2024: Telangana’s digital service platform, MeeSeva, has fully restored its services after facing technical issues for the past two weeks. The problem occurred at the State Data Centre (SDC), slowing down various services such as caste certificates, income certificates, and OBC non-creamy layer certificates.

Due to the technical glitch, many MeeSeva centers across Telangana were unable to provide their regular services, causing difficulties for citizens, particularly students, as many educational institutions are completing their admissions.

MeeSeva issued a statement on September 25, clarifying that services were restored on September 13. Between September 13 and 23, 4,76,311 transactions were completed, including 2,45,257 bill payments and 2,31,054 certificate-related services. The issue at the SDC affected document uploads for transactions between July 10 and September 12, creating a backlog.

After resolving the issue, MeeSeva instructed its centers to re-upload documents and clear pending applications. Affected users were notified via SMS and were not charged for resubmissions. MeeSeva service providers, however, expressed frustration over the extra work and time involved in re-uploading documents without being reimbursed by the government.

A senior MeeSeva employee mentioned that server outages have been a regular occurrence, but they have managed to work around them. The recent major issue, which lasted from August to mid-September, has now been resolved, and MeeSeva services have been functioning normally for the past week.

MeeSeva centers in the state typically serve around 500 customers daily, with each center completing approximately 200 transactions.
