Elaborate Arrangements for Nagoba Jatara Begin
Adilabad.27.01.2025: The Maha Puja for the famous Nagoba Jatara festival, a grand celebration of tribal culture and traditions, is all set to begin. Endowments Minister Konda Surekha extended her greetings to the tribal community on this special occasion.

The Nagoba Jatara, dedicated to the sacred deity Adisesha, will take place in Keslapur, Adilabad district, from January 28 to February 4. Known as the second-largest tribal fair in India, it is an important event that highlights the rich heritage of Telangana.
Preparations Underway
On Sunday, officials, including District Collector Rajarshi Shah, ITDA Project Officer Khushboo Gupta, SP Ghaus Alam, and Utnoor ASP Kajal, visited the Nagoba temple to review the arrangements. The Collector instructed the team to ensure smooth arrangements for the thousands of devotees expected to attend from Telangana and neighboring states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. He emphasized the need for coordination among various government departments to ensure a successful event.
Jatara Begins Tomorrow
The festival will begin with a grand puja at 10 PM on January 28. The Mesram clan, a key tribal group, has already brought holy water from the Godavari River to perform the rituals. On the opening day, Nagoba, the tribal deity, will be anointed with this sacred water.
The Nagoba Jatara is not only a religious event but also a celebration of the unity and traditions of the tribal communities. Large crowds of devotees and visitors are expected to witness the traditional rituals and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this historic festival.
