Toshiba has proposed an investment of Rs 562 crore for this project. The MoU was signed by Telangana’s Special Chief Secretary (Industries) Jayesh Ranjan and TTDI CMD Hiroshi Furuta in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Toshiba Corporation’s Energy Business Director Hiroshi Kaneta also attended the event.

This investment aims to introduce advanced technologies and increase production to meet the growing needs of the power transmission and distribution sector. It aligns with Telangana’s efforts to attract global companies, boost industrial growth, and generate more jobs.

TTDI CMD Furuta said, “Telangana offers strong industrial support and innovation. Our new investment shows our continued commitment to India’s power sector and economic development.”

The project is also a part of Toshiba’s goal to support India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative by designing and manufacturing products for high-voltage power systems within the country.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the move, saying, “This new investment by Toshiba shows global trust in Telangana’s business environment and development path.”

Toshiba, through TTDI, supplies equipment for both traditional and renewable energy sectors across India.
