Hyderabad, June 17, 2025 – In a big relief to lakhs of farmers across Telangana, the state government is all set to deposit the Rythu Bharosa financial assistance directly into their bank accounts starting tomorrow. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced this much-awaited update, marking the beginning of a new chapter in farmer welfare.

The Rythu Bharosa scheme was one of the key promises made by the Congress government during the elections. Now, by implementing it, the state is proving its commitment to the well-being of farmers, regardless of the size of their land.

💰 ₹6,000 Per Acre – Per Season

Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, every eligible farmer will receive ₹6,000 per acre per season, totaling ₹12,000 per acre per year. This amount will be distributed in two installments – one for the Kharif (rainy) season and another for the Rabi (spring) season.

This direct support will help farmers cover essential crop investment costs like:

  • Seeds
  • Fertilizers
  • Pesticides
  • Farm labor

🌱 More Inclusive than Before

Unlike the previous Rythu Bandhu scheme, this new program is more inclusive. It covers:

  • Landowners
  • Tenant farmers
  • Landless agricultural workers
  • Forest rights title holders

Farmers with land registered on the Dharani portal are also eligible. To ensure transparency, the funds will be directly transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts.

✅ A Step Towards Fulfilling Guarantees

There was some delay in the release of funds, which caused concern among farmers. However, the government reviewed the state’s financial position and decided to release the funds ahead of the monsoon. Officials from the agriculture department have already sped up the process.

This move is part of the “Six Guarantees” made by the Congress during the election campaign. The goal is to restore confidence among farmers and stabilize the agriculture sector.

🌾 Farmers React with Joy

Farmers across the state have welcomed this decision. With timely financial support, they can now focus on better planning for the season, reduce dependency on loans, and aim for higher productivity.

The Rythu Bharosa scheme is expected not only to empower farmers financially, but also to give a positive push to Telangana’s rural economy.

“This is not just an investment in crops—it’s an investment in the future of our farmers,” said a senior official from the agriculture department.
