The Telangana government has extended the deadline for completing e-KYC for ration card holders until August 31, providing additional time for beneficiaries who have not yet finished the mandatory verification process. Officials have advised eligible families to complete e-KYC as early as possible to avoid inconvenience and ensure uninterrupted access to ration benefits.

According to the Civil Supplies Department, the deadline was originally scheduled to end on July 31 but has now been extended by one month. The department has informed district authorities about the revised schedule and instructed them to implement the extension across the state.

Officials said the decision was taken in view of heavy rainfall in several parts of Telangana and the ongoing Special Summary Revision of the electoral rolls, both of which have affected public access to government services. The extension is intended to provide sufficient time for all eligible ration card holders to complete the verification process without difficulty.

The department has urged beneficiaries who are yet to complete e-KYC to visit their nearest fair price shop and finish the process well before the new deadline. Officials emphasized that early completion will help ensure smooth distribution of essential commodities under the Public Distribution System.

An official advisory also informed beneficiaries that they can collect their ration entitlement for three months—August, September, and October—in a single allotment. The distribution will be available between August 1 and August 31 at their respective fair price shops, subject to completion of the required e-KYC formalities.

The state government has been conducting the e-KYC exercise to update beneficiary records and improve the efficiency of the ration distribution system. Authorities have appealed to all eligible card holders to make use of the extended deadline and complete the verification process at the earliest.
