He stated: “When Congress came to power, Telangana had total debt and dues of ₹8,21,652 crore. Of this, ₹6,71,757 crore is debt. The remaining includes ₹40,154 crore in dues for employee payments and welfare schemes, and ₹1,09,740 crore pending in SC/ST sub-plan, Singareni, electricity, and other departments.”

The CM added that the current government has repaid ₹2,20,676 crore so far—₹1,32,498 crore principal and ₹88,178 crore interest.

Vision for Telangana 2047

Despite the financial burden, the government aims to push growth through the Telangana Rising 2047 vision—targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2035 and $3 trillion by 2047.
