Hyderabad26.11.2025: Hyderabad will witness a planned six-hour interruption in electricity supply on 26 November 2025, which will also lead to partial disruption of drinking water supply in several parts of the city. The outage is scheduled as part of maintenance work by Telangana State Transmission Corporation (TG Transco) at key 132 kV substations that power the Krishna Phase-1, Phase-2 and Phase-3 water pumping stations supplying the Hyderabad metropolitan area.
According to the official schedule, the power shutdown will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Nasarlapalli water board pumping station substations. During this window, bulk feeders providing uninterrupted electricity to the Krishna water project will be switched off to facilitate maintenance and replacement of damaged current transformers, which may reduce or delay water flow to connected localities.
The planned work is aimed at strengthening the reliability of power supply to the drinking water pumping network and preventing sudden breakdowns in future. However, residents living in areas dependent on Krishna Phase-1, Phase-2 and Phase-3 are advised to store sufficient drinking and household-use water in advance and use available water carefully on the day of the shutdown.
