Godavarikhani, March, 07,2026: International Women’s Day celebrations were organized at the Godavarikhani ACP Office on March 7 under the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate. The event honored women police personnel for their service and dedication.
The International Women’s Day program was conducted in the presence of ACP M. Ramesh along with police officers. Women police officers and staff participated in the celebrations, during which a cake cutting ceremony was held to mark the occasion.
Following the celebrations, women police officers and staff were felicitated with shawls in recognition of their contributions to policing and public service.
Speaking at the event, ACP M. Ramesh said women possess strong determination and are capable of achieving success in any field. He noted that women across the country are reaching higher positions and performing on par with men in various sectors.
He stated that women have equal rights in all fields and encouraged women police officers to work with full dedication and commitment to achieve their professional goals. According to him, women often show strong discipline and responsibility while performing their duties.
The ACP highlighted the important roles played by women police personnel in various departments. These include reception duties at police stations, court duty officers, writers, patrol duties, Blue Coats, Cyber Warriors, and awareness programs on cybercrime conducted in schools and colleges through She Teams.
He also mentioned that women officers are actively involved in important bandobast duties and assist victims in cases such as domestic violence and marital disputes by providing counseling and support.
ACP Ramesh said the achievements of women in different sectors serve as inspiration for future generations. He advised women officers to remain confident and carry out their professional responsibilities with dignity.
He further stated that special measures are being taken for the welfare of women police staff and assured that the department will continue to support them.
The program was attended by Godavarikhani One Town Inspector Indrasena Reddy, Godavarikhani Two Town Inspector Prasad Rao, Ramagundam SI Sandhya Rani, Ramagiri SI Divya, Godavarikhani One Town SI Anusha, and other police personnel.
