Mumbai. 22.09.2024: Coldplay has announced a third Mumbai concert for January 21, 2025, due to massive ticket demand. BookMyShow, the online ticket platform, reported issues with its website during the ticket sales for the Coldplay India 2025 tour. The website faced high traffic and even flagged suspicious and malicious activity during the booking process.
The British rock band, responding to “phenomenal demand,” added a third show as part of their “Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025.” This third Mumbai concert was confirmed shortly after fans faced long virtual queues for the first two shows on BookMyShow.
All three concerts, taking place at DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and now January 21, 2025, have sold out. BookMyShow explained that they introduced a queueing system to handle the traffic surge and swiftly addressed any suspicious traffic that caused temporary delays.
Despite the initial website issues, Coldplay’s third show received an enthusiastic response. The tickets for the new date were made available at 2 PM IST on the same day as the announcement.
Ticket prices for the shows range from ₹2,500 to ₹12,500, with a special lounge option priced at ₹35,000. In addition, Coldplay will offer a limited number of ‘Infinity Tickets’ for €20 (approximately ₹2000) starting November 22, 2024, to make the event more accessible to fans. Fans have been excitedly awaiting Coldplay’s return to India since their last tour in 2016, and the 2025 tour promises to be a major event.
