NEW DELHI.30.04.2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the Indian Army will have complete freedom to take action against terrorism. He said the army will decide when, where, and how to carry out operations, and the government fully trusts the strength and ability of the Indian forces.

On Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Modi held an important meeting at his residence to discuss the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The meeting lasted for about one and a half hours.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and the chiefs of the three armed forces attended this meeting. The government made it clear once again that India is strongly committed to fighting terrorism and will respond firmly to the attackers in Pahalgam.

A key meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, which handles national security matters, is planned for Wednesday. Prime Minister Modi will lead this meeting. Ahead of this, Tuesday’s meeting with the three service chiefs and Ajit Doval at the Prime Minister’s residence was considered highly important.

High-Level Meeting at the MHA Office

At the same time, the Home Ministry (MHA) held a high-level security review meeting on Tuesday evening to assess the situation after the Pahalgam attack. The meeting was led by Home Secretary Govind Mohan.

Senior officers from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and National Security Guard (NSG) attended this meeting to discuss security measures and future action.
