Telangana Anganwadi Notification 2026 has been released by the Women Development and Child Welfare (WDCW) Department for the recruitment of Anganwadi Teachers (AWT) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH) in Mahabubnagar and Peddapalli districts. Eligible women candidates belonging to the respective local project areas can submit their applications online through the official WDCW Telangana portal within the prescribed application dates.
Telangana Anganwadi Notification 2026: Vacancy Details
The recruitment includes a total of 241 vacancies, comprising 128 Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) posts and 113 Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts.
Mahabubnagar district has notified 177 vacancies, including 64 Anganwadi Teacher posts and 113 Anganwadi Helper posts across Devarkadra, Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar Rural and Mahabubnagar Urban projects. Peddapalli district has announced 64 Anganwadi Teacher vacancies across Peddapalli, Ramagundam Urban and Manthani projects.
Who Can Apply?
Only women candidates who are permanent residents of the concerned Anganwadi centre or project area are eligible to apply. Applicants must satisfy the educational qualification, age limit and reservation requirements mentioned in the official notification issued by the Women Development and Child Welfare Department.
Application Dates
For Mahabubnagar district, online applications will be accepted from 20 June 2026 to 30 June 2026 (5:00 PM). Candidates applying for vacancies in Peddapalli district can submit their applications from 20 June 2026 to 6 July 2026 (5:00 PM).

Selection Process
The selection process includes scrutiny of online applications, verification of eligibility and local residence, preparation of a merit list based on the prescribed criteria, implementation of reservation rules and publication of the final selection list by the respective District Collector’s office.
