Mumbai, April 17,2026: Akshay Kumar Bhoot Bangla has recorded a promising response in advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release on April 17. The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, has already generated significant early ticket sales across India.


According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film sold 36,984 tickets across 7,032 shows for its opening day. The advance booking collection stands at Rs 97.93 lakh, while the total including blocked seats has reached Rs 2.65 crore.
The film is also scheduled for paid previews a day before release, adding to the early momentum. Trade observers see these numbers as a positive sign for the film’s opening performance.
The Central Board of Film Certification has granted the film a U A 16 plus rating. At the time of certification, the runtime was 2 hours and 55 minutes. However, reports indicate that the makers trimmed around 11 minutes later, bringing the final runtime to approximately 2 hours and 44 minutes.
The film features Akshay Kumar in the lead role, alongside Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Mithila Palkar. The story is set in a haunted palace with a long-standing curse, combining elements of horror and comedy.
The trailer suggests a narrative centered on Akshay Kumar’s character, who plans to get married in a haunted location. The setting introduces a mix of supernatural events and humorous situations.
