Hyderabad, Oct 24: Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has predicted significant political developments in the state before Diwali. He hinted that evidence of irregularities during the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rule will be made public soon.
While touring Seoul with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and other officials, Srinivasa Reddy told reporters that a “political bomb” would explode before their return to Hyderabad. He referred to several scams from the previous administration, including allegations of phone tapping and misuse of the Dharani portal, stating that one of these scandals would be revealed before the festival.
The minister claimed that substantial evidence has already been gathered regarding these scams and that the files have been escalated for further action. He mentioned that it will be up to the courts to decide whether those involved should face arrest, life imprisonment, or restitution of looted funds.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy accused the BRS of misusing public money and asserted that those responsible will be held accountable. He also expressed hope that the Commission investigating the Kaleshwaram project would soon submit its findings.
The minister’s comments came in response to the state government’s decision to transfer the management of the Dharani portal to the National Informatics Centre (NIC). He emphasized the need for accountability from the foreign company that previously managed the portal.
The delegation, which includes Chief Minister’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and other officials, is on a study tour in South Korea to learn about projects related to river rejuvenation and development. They aim to provide input for the proposed Musi River rejuvenation project in Hyderabad.
