The Endowments Department has directed officials to make coordinated arrangements to ensure smooth and incident-free celebrations in Bhadrachalam.

Endowments Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer held a video conference with officials and instructed all departments to work in coordination for the successful conduct of the festivities. Senior officials including Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, District Collector Ankit and Sub-Collector Mrunal Shrestha participated in the meeting from the Bhadrachalam Sub-Collector’s office.

Officials were asked to prepare a detailed schedule in consultation with temple priests so that rituals are conducted according to tradition. The Chief Minister is expected to visit on March 27 and will participate in temple darshan, the foundation stone laying ceremony and the Kalyana Mahotsavam at Mithila Stadium.

Authorities were instructed to complete arrangements for the foundation plaque by March 25 and ensure security, traffic management and crowd control during the Chief Minister’s visit. Departments were also told to appoint liaison officers for dignitaries and make arrangements for official engagements including a press conference.

Highlighting past incidents, officials were directed to enforce strict security measures to prevent unauthorised access to the Kalyana mandapam during rituals. Departments were also asked to keep complete data ready on temple lands and related issues.

District Collector Ankit said extensive arrangements were being made, including sanitation, drinking water, medical services, barricading, queue lines and separate entry and exit routes to manage the expected crowds.

The annual Sri Rama Navami celebrations in Bhadrachalam attract a large number of devotees from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh every year, and authorities expect heavy turnout this year as well.

Officials said all departments are working in coordination and final arrangements will be completed before the festival dates.
