  • Erragolla Ajay (25) – Peddapapayyapalli village, Hanumakonda district

How the Police Caught Them

Warangal Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha disclosed that Krishna, the main accused, was originally running a sheep business. Due to insufficient income, he devised a fraudulent scheme to make quick money. Krishna claimed to have found a drum of cash in the forest and convinced people that using the money would bring health problems to his family. He assured his victims that if they gave him one lakh rupees, he would give them four times the amount in fake notes.

Krishna collaborated with another accused, Erragolla Srinivas, and stored both real and fake notes in a drum in the Palvancha forest. Srinivas was convinced by Krishna’s plan and agreed to exchange ten lakh rupees for twenty lakh rupees in real notes and five lakh rupees in fake notes.

The police caught the gang red-handed while they were exchanging notes on the KUC Outer Ring Road near Pegadapalle Krad Road. During patrol, officers found their behavior suspicious and searched their bags and car, uncovering the cash, fake notes, and printing materials. Upon interrogation, the gang confessed to their crimes.

The Warangal Police Commissioner congratulated ACP Devender Reddy, Inspector Ravi Kumar, SI Madhav, and other officers for their successful operation in apprehending the gang.

This case highlights the importance of staying vigilant against scams involving fake notes and reporting suspicious activities to the police.
