Hyderabad, November 9 2025 : Telangana’s political temperature is soaring as the much-anticipated Jubilee Hills by-election approaches. With voting scheduled for November 11 and results to be announced on November 14, the contest has turned into a direct battle for credibility between the ruling Congress, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and K T Rama Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Recent surveys show BRS holding a significant lead in the pre-poll numbers, while Congress is pulling out all stops to consolidate its voter base. KTR has launched a high-energy campaign, presenting the byelection as an opportunity to restore faith in BRS after setbacks in recent general elections. He has openly criticized the Congress government for what he describes as “unfulfilled promises” and “administrative failure,” warning voters that Telangana will witness a “political tsunami” after November 14.

The bypoll was prompted by the untimely demise of the sitting MLA, thrusting Jubilee Hills into the spotlight. Voters have raised everyday issues such as urban infrastructure, safety, and economic development, seeking real solutions from their elected representatives. The campaigns have taken on a sharp tone, with strong words exchanged between party leaders, turning the bypoll into a symbolic fight for Telangana’s future.

In parallel, the Telangana government’s release of ₹600 crore for college fee reimbursements has provided timely relief to thousands of students and educational institutions, resolving a prolonged strike. The move underscores ongoing commitments to education, with an additional ₹300 crore expected soon.

As the state awaits the verdict from Jubilee Hills, all eyes are on the outcome, which is set to shape Telangana’s political and developmental trajectory in the days ahead.
