PM Narendra Modi Launches Rs 9,500 Crore Development Projects in Telangana

Hyderabad,May 10,2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 10 launched and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth around Rs 9,500 crore in Telangana. The programmes were inaugurated virtually during an event held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Hyderabad.

The Telangana development projects include road infrastructure, industrial expansion, railway upgrades and energy-related works. Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi said Hyderabad is playing a key role in the country’s development and several major projects are taking shape in the city.

During his address, Modi said the Centre is providing thousands of crores for Telangana’s development. He stated that Telangana would receive support similar to what Gujarat received over the past decade and called for cooperation in development efforts.

The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several projects across sectors. These include road projects worth Rs 3,180 crore and an Industrial Smart City project worth Rs 2,360 crore.

He also launched an Indian Oil Corporation terminal project worth Rs 610 crore and inaugurated the Kazipet-Vijayawada railway tripling works developed at a cost of Rs 1,243 crore.

Modi later participated in the inauguration of the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park built with an investment of Rs 1,700 crore. He also inaugurated a rail under rail bypass line constructed at a cost of Rs 300 crore.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed Prime Minister Modi at the venue and presented him with a silver Nandi statue. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy presented a statue of Lord Ram to the Prime Minister.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said Telangana would move forward along with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat. He said Telangana contributes around five percent to the country’s GDP despite accounting for nearly three percent of India’s population.

Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that Telangana would achieve a trillion-dollar economy by 2034. He also requested the Prime Minister to focus on pending projects in the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and several ministers and public representatives attended the programme.
