Social & Tribal Welfare Students Shine in JEE Advanced

The recently announced JEE Advanced 2026 results, published on June 1, 2026, from Hyderabad, have highlighted an extraordinary performance by students from Telangana’s social and tribal welfare gurukul institutions. A total of 163 students from social welfare and 113 from tribal welfare gurukuls successfully qualified for the prestigious examination. Specifically, the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) saw 355 students appear for JEE Advanced, with an impressive 61 qualifying directly and another 102 securing preparatory ranks, summing up to 163 successful candidates from their fold.

This outstanding achievement is largely attributed to the Society’s 37 Centres of Excellence institutions, which are specifically established to nurture talent in Science and Arts streams. Among the high achievers from TSWREIS, one student remarkably secured a rank below 500, three made it into the top 1,000, and a substantial 39 students achieved ranks below 5000. A notable individual success story includes P. Hemanth from the Chilkur Boys’ Centre of Excellence, who secured an impressive 200th rank in the ST category, further underscoring the calibre of talent emerging from these institutions.

The Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGTWREIS) and Telangana Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (TGEMRS) also contributed significantly to this success, with a total of 113 students securing ranks. These students received focused training, with 208 candidates undergoing intensive preparation. Among the qualifiers, two students achieved ranks in the open category, 35 secured category ranks, and 96 attained preparatory ranks. Standout performances include E. Charanjyoshi, who bagged the 156th rank, and Guguloth Charan, who secured the 202nd rank. Furthermore, the success extended to girl students, with B. These institutions, often serving students from challenging backgrounds, have successfully cultivated an environment where talent can flourish, providing the necessary resources, mentorship, and support. Their triumph resonates deeply, challenging conventional notions and highlighting the immense potential residing within every segment of society when given a fair chance.
