The delegation included Thippiri Tirupati, also known as Devuji, Malla Raji Reddy, and four other former Maoist leaders. The meeting took place in Hyderabad on February 27, according to an official release.

Devuji and three others had surrendered before the Telangana police on February 24. The remaining leaders were also part of the group that met the chief minister during the interaction at the Secretariat.

Government advisors K Keshava Rao and Vem Narender Reddy were present at the meeting. Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy, Additional Director General of Police for Intelligence Vijay Kumar, and State Intelligence Bureau Inspector General Sumathi also attended.

Officials said the meeting was held as part of the follow-up process after the surrender of the Maoist leaders. No further details about the discussion were shared in the official statement.

The other leaders who met the chief minister were identified as Pulluri Prasad Rao, also known as Chandranna, Pothula Kalpana, known as Sujatha, Bade Chokka Rao, also called Damodar, and Noone Narsimha Reddy, known as Ganganna.

According to the release, senior police and intelligence officials were present to mark the occasion and to formally acknowledge the surrender and subsequent interaction with the state leadership.

The surrender of the Maoist leaders took place earlier this week, ending their long association with armed activities. The state government has been monitoring developments related to the surrender process, officials said.

The meeting at the Secretariat comes amid continued efforts by the Telangana government to address issues related to extremist activities through established legal and administrative procedures.

No announcement was made regarding future steps following the meeting. Officials did not indicate whether additional interactions or reviews would take place in the coming days.
