The budget will first be approved in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at 9 am today. Following this, Deputy CM and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will introduce the full bill in the Legislative Assembly at 12 noon. IT Minister Sridhar Babu will present the budget in the Legislative Council.

This marks the first time Congress has presented a full budget after coming to power. Earlier this year, the government introduced the Otan account fund with Rs.2.75 lakh crore. This time, the budget is expected to be between Rs.2.80 lakh crore and Rs.2.90 lakh crore.

Key Allocations and Focus Areas

The Revanth government is expected to allocate significant funds for welfare and development sectors. More than Rs.50 thousand crore may be earmarked for the implementation of the guarantees given by the Congress party during the elections. The agriculture department is likely to receive more than Rs.50 thousand crores, including Rs.30 thousand crores for loan waiver and Rs.15 thousand crores for Rythu Bharosa Pathaka.
