Hyderabad,March,20,2026: The Telangana Budget 2026–27 received a positive response from Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka. She described it as a welfare-oriented budget aimed at inclusive growth.
Speaking after the budget presentation, she said the Telangana Budget 2026–27 reflects the government’s commitment to social justice and rural development.
After the budget speech, Seethakka met Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka and congratulated him by presenting a bouquet. She later addressed the media and highlighted key aspects of the budget.
The minister stated that significant allocations to the Panchayat Raj department underline the government’s focus on strengthening rural infrastructure. She said this would help improve basic facilities in villages and support long-term development.
She also welcomed the decision to sanction two lakh new pensions, noting that it would provide financial support to elderly people, widows and persons with disabilities. According to her, the move ensures economic security and supports dignified living.
Seethakka described the Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme as a major step, covering around 1.15 crore families. She said the scheme would help families cope financially in case of the loss of a primary earning member.
On education, the minister appreciated the introduction of a breakfast scheme for students from pre-primary to intermediate levels. She said the initiative would improve student health, attendance and learning outcomes.
She added that the scheme would particularly benefit children from economically weaker sections by ensuring they do not attend school on an empty stomach.
Overall, Seethakka said the budget has been designed after understanding people’s needs and would play a key role in advancing the state’s development agenda.
