Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reiterated the state government’s commitment to creating a conducive ecosystem for advanced technology industries and startups during a meeting with the founders of Skyroot Aerospace in New Delhi. The discussions focused on strengthening Telangana’s aerospace and space technology ecosystem while encouraging innovation, research, and private sector participation.

Skyroot Aerospace Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Pawan Kumar Chandana and Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Bharath Daka called on the Chief Minister and briefed him about the successful launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital-class launch vehicle.

During the meeting, the Skyroot founders highlighted the significance of the Vikram-1 mission, stating that the achievement marks a major milestone for India’s private space industry. According to the company, the success positions India among a select group of nations with private-sector orbital launch capabilities, following the United States and China.

The meeting also included discussions on the rapid growth of Telangana’s aerospace and space technology sectors. The participants explored opportunities for collaboration in advanced manufacturing, research and development (R&D), innovation, and partnerships between the state government and private space companies.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the Skyroot Aerospace founders on the successful achievement and appreciated their contribution to India’s growing space sector. The state government has been actively promoting Hyderabad and Telangana as major destinations for aerospace, defence, and deep technology investments. Industry experts view increased collaboration between governments and private space companies as an important step toward strengthening India’s space ecosystem and expanding commercial space capabilities.

The interaction reflects Telangana’s continued focus on encouraging innovation-led economic growth while supporting startups and technology-driven enterprises that contribute to India’s ambitions in the global space industry.
