Hyderabad, September 17, 2025: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the State Government will prepare a new Telangana Education Policy (TEP). He said this policy will act as a “compass” to guide India.
The policy aims to improve education from primary schools to universities.
During a review meeting at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said education should combine language, knowledge, skills, and sports. He stressed that education is the best way to fight poverty, rather than giving land or money directly to people.
Revanth Reddy pointed out a serious problem: many children are leaving government schools even though the government spends a lot of money on them. He said the new policy should improve quality, attention, and trust in public schools so that more students stay enrolled.
The Telangana Education Policy will be part of the Telangana Vision Document-2047, which will be released on December 9, 2025. The government will also create a special education corporation to improve school and college infrastructure.
