Hyderabad.16.06.2024 : Motorists in Hyderabad are advised to take note of significant traffic restrictions tomorrow due to Bakrid, the holy festival of Muslims. Police officials have announced that various arrangements have been made to facilitate special prayers in Eidgahs and mosques across the city.
Traffic Diversions Around Bakrid Prayer Areas
To accommodate the large gatherings for Bakrid prayers, traffic will be diverted in several areas. Specifically, vehicles will be rerouted around Miralam Eid, where a significant number of devotees are expected to gather for prayers.
Road Closures in Old Basti
Several roads in the Old Basti area will be closed from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Only those attending Eid prayers from Telupaga, Puranapool, Kamatipura, and Kishanbagh will be allowed to cross Bahadur Pura Cross Road during this time.
Parking Arrangements
Special parking arrangements have been made in front of Zoo Park and Masjid Alha Ho Akbar to accommodate those attending the prayers. Motorists are encouraged to use these designated parking areas to avoid congestion.
Enhanced Security Measures
In preparation for Bakrid, around 1000 police officers will be deployed in the Old Basti area. Authorities have implemented special security measures to ensure the safety of more than 30,000 expected attendees.
Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the traffic diversions to ensure a smooth and safe celebration of Bakrid in Hyderabad.
