Nagarkurnool, March,03,2026: Vijay Deverakonda Scholarship Actor Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika visited his native village Thummanpet in Balmuru mandal of Nagarkurnool district after their wedding.
During the visit, Vijay Deverakonda announced scholarships for meritorious students in government schools as part of a wedding gift initiative.
The couple reached Thummanpet village in Balmuru mandal. Locals gathered to welcome them during their visit to the native place.
On the occasion, Vijay said that scholarships will be provided to students who secure top marks in Classes 9 and 10 in government schools. The support will be extended through their trust.
In the first phase, the scholarships will be given to students from 44 government schools in the Achampet division. Eligible students who achieve the highest marks in their respective classes will receive financial assistance.
Vijay stated that the initiative is being introduced as a wedding gift under the name “Virosh.” He added that the trust will oversee the implementation process in coordination with the concerned schools.
He further said that there are plans to expand the scholarship programme across the State in the future. Details regarding the selection process and distribution schedule are expected to be announced separately.
The announcement was made during the couple’s interaction with villagers. The visit marked their first appearance in the village after their marriage.
The scholarship initiative aims to recognise academic performance among students studying in government institutions in the Achampet division. Further updates on the next phase will be shared by the organisers.
