Yadadri Road Accident: Mother and Two Sons Killed After DCM Van Hits Auto

Vadaparthi,March,10,2026: Three members of a family, including a mother and her two sons, died in a road accident in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Monday evening. The incident occurred near Vadaparthi village in Bhuvanagiri mandal.

According to police, the victims were travelling in an auto when a speeding DCM van collided with their vehicle, leading to the fatal accident.

The deceased have been identified as Donkena Ketamma, aged 56, and her sons Naresh, aged 35, and Suresh, aged 28. The family belonged to BN Thimmapur village in the district.

Ketamma was running a small grocery shop in the village, while her husband Srinivas works in the toddy tapping profession. The couple has three sons, including Naresh, Umesh and Suresh.

Police said Naresh was suffering from epilepsy and mostly stayed at home. Suresh worked as a contract driver with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation and also operated his own auto during his free time.

On Monday afternoon, Ketamma along with her sons Naresh and Suresh travelled to Bhuvanagiri town in an auto to purchase grocery supplies for their shop. They were returning to BN Thimmapur in the evening when the accident occurred.

While the auto was travelling from Bhuvanagiri towards BN Thimmapur, a DCM van coming from the opposite direction at high speed hit the auto. Moments later, another DCM vehicle coming from behind lost control and rammed into the first van.

Due to the impact, Suresh, who was driving the auto, and his brother Naresh died on the spot. Ketamma suffered severe injuries in the crash.

She was shifted to a hospital for treatment but died on the way, police said.

Following the accident, the drivers of both DCM vans reportedly fled the scene. Police officials reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravinder and Rural Circle Inspector Chandrababu visited the accident site and inspected the situation.

Sub-Inspector Anil Kumar said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway to identify and trace the drivers involved in the accident.

The police are also examining the circumstances that led to the collision and gathering further details about the vehicles involved.
