New Delhi,March, 14, 2026: The United States has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and several senior Iranian officials. The offer targets individuals linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

US reward for Iran officials

The US reward for Iran officials was published on the US State Department website and includes 10 figures connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The group was formed after the 1979 Iranian Revolution and is responsible for protecting the country’s clerical leadership.

Mojtaba Khamenei recently became Iran’s supreme leader after his father, Ali Khamenei, was killed in joint United States and Israeli strikes that began on February 28. According to reports, the younger Khamenei was injured during the strikes and has not appeared in public since.

Despite his absence from public events, Mojtaba Khamenei released his first statement on Thursday. The United States is seeking information not only about him but also about several other high ranking officials.

Those listed include Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani, Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, and two officials from the supreme leader’s office.

Larijani appeared in verified videos on Friday alongside Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during a rally in Tehran. The appearance came after US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Iran’s leadership was hiding underground.

The State Department said the individuals named in the announcement direct key operations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

These individuals command and direct various elements of the IRGC, which plans, organizes, and executes terrorism around the world, the department said in its statement.

The IRGC could not immediately be reached for comment because Friday is the weekly day of rest in Iran. Iran’s mission to the United Nations in New York also did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The United States previously designated the IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization. Washington has accused the group of involvement in attacks that killed US citizens.

US officials have also accused Iran of planning assassination plots against President Donald Trump and other American officials in retaliation for the killing of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

Iran has denied supporting terrorism. Iranian authorities have repeatedly described the accusations as baseless and politically motivated.

The US reward for Iran officials comes as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high following the recent military strikes and ongoing regional conflict.
