New Delhi, April 12,2026: The SSC GD 2026 schedule phases have been announced, with the Staff Selection Commission confirming that the SSC GD Constable 2026 examination will be conducted in four phases beginning April 27, 2026. Candidates can also book their preferred exam week through the official SSC portal within the notified timeline.
According to the latest update, the SSC GD Constable exam that was earlier scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026, has been postponed and rescheduled. The revised examination timetable will now run across four separate phases between April and May.
SSC GD 2026 Exam Dates
The first phase of the examination will be conducted from April 27 to May 2, 2026.
The second phase will take place from May 4 to May 9, 2026.
The third phase is scheduled from May 18 to May 23, 2026.
The fourth and final phase will be conducted from May 25 to May 30, 2026.
Slot Booking Window Open
SSC has activated the slot booking facility for candidates appearing in the recruitment examination. Applicants can select their preferred exam week from the four available phases.
However, candidates will not be allowed to choose the exact exam date, city, or shift. Slot booking is available from 3:00 PM on April 11, 2026, until 5:00 PM on April 15, 2026.
Admit Card and Exam City Slip
The admit card for SSC GD Constable 2026 is expected to be released a few days before the examination. Candidates will be able to download it from the official SSC website using their registration credentials.
Before the admit card release, SSC is also expected to issue the exam city intimation slip to help candidates plan their travel arrangements in advance.
Vacancy and Selection Process
The recruitment drive includes more than 25,000 vacancies across various paramilitary forces including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, SSF, and NCB.
The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test, followed by Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, and medical examination.
