Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced plans to conduct competitive examinations once every six months to fill government job vacancies. Speaking at an Independence Day programme in Sangareddy, he urged unemployed youth to prepare for competitive examinations, assuring them that the government would work to fill available vacancies.
The Chief Minister said his government was committed to ensuring that no government vacancy was left unfilled. He appealed to job aspirants not to be misled by unverified claims and to focus on preparing for upcoming recruitment examinations.
Revanth Reddy said the government had filled around 70,000 jobs within the first year of assuming office and had recently issued notifications for another 10,000 posts. He said the responsibility for conducting examinations and completing recruitment processes would be taken by the government.
“Prepare for competitive examinations. The responsibility of conducting all examinations is mine,” the Chief Minister said, according to the statement issued about his Independence Day address.
During the programme at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in Sangareddy, Revanth Reddy also formally launched the distribution of smart ration cards. He highlighted the state government’s welfare and development programmes, with a focus on farmers, women and youth.
The Chief Minister said the government was also working to strengthen the agricultural sector. He stated that the government had spent Rs 1.70 lakh crore on agriculture and had paid Rs 90,000 crore for procurement of farmers’ produce during the past 32 months.
He further said Rs 21,000 crore had been deposited into farmers’ accounts under the loan waiver programme and that Rs 36,000 crore had been provided under Rythu Bharosa after increasing the support to Rs 12,000 per acre.
On women’s welfare, Revanth Reddy said self-help groups had received bank linkage of about Rs 60,000 crore at zero interest. He also highlighted free travel for women in state-run buses and the allocation of Indiramma houses to women beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister said the government was working to restore welfare programmes while managing the state’s financial obligations. He asked the public to support the government and assured them that the administration would work to fulfil its commitments.
