Allegations of bogus employees working under the VB-G RAM G project in the Suryapet District Rural Development Agency have triggered concern among district and state authorities. Officials have said employee certificates will be comprehensively verified, and action will be taken if fake documents or illegal collections are established.

The controversy intensified after a report published by Disha newspaper raised questions over the credentials and employment records of some workers. The report alleged that attempts were being made to prevent the issue from escalating through union leaders and political influence, though the claims are yet to be independently established through an official investigation.

According to the allegations, the absence of complete employment records for nearly two decades has complicated the verification process. Documents certified and forwarded by Mandal Parishad Development Officers from the mandal level are now expected to undergo further scrutiny at the district level.

There are also allegations that some union leaders collected between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh from employees after promising regularisation. Following the publication of the report, claims emerged that some of the money was being quietly returned. Any such allegations, however, will require verification by the authorities.

The report further alleged that fake educational certificates from other states may have been used by some individuals to support their employment or regularisation proposals. It claimed that such documents were certified at the mandal level before being forwarded to the DRDA office.

Speaking on the issue, Suryapet DRDA Project Director Sanyasaiah said the department was currently examining copies of certificates certified and sent by MPDOs. He said certificates of employees across the district would be comprehensively verified.

“If evidence is found that money was collected from employees in the name of regularisation, legal and departmental action will be taken against those responsible,” the Project Director said.

The matter could also draw the attention of state-level authorities as officials attempt to determine the authenticity of employment records and educational certificates. The final outcome will depend on the official verification process and any evidence that emerges during the inquiry.
