Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.21.09.2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in the US for his official three-day visit, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between India and the United States. PM Modi’s visit will kick off with a high-profile meeting with US President Joe Biden, where both leaders are expected to discuss a range of strategic issues that include defense, trade, and technological collaborations.

As part of this landmark trip, PM Modi will also participate in the Quad Summit, where he will join Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and President Biden. White House spokesperson John Kirby has confirmed that China’s growing military influence and regional tensions will be high on the agenda.

During this visit, PM Modi is expected to announce new collaborations between India and the US in space exploration, including an agreement for Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla to participate in the upcoming Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station.

Additionally, the leaders will discuss the potential signing of a multi-billion-dollar deal, which could see India acquiring 31 predator drones from the United States, further enhancing defense ties between the two nations.

Kirby also pointed out that the bilateral talks between PM Modi and President Biden will likely cover regional security challenges, particularly China’s aggressive actions in the Indo-Pacific, unfair trade practices, and tensions in the Taiwan Strait.

PM Modi’s visit underscores the growing importance of the India-US partnership in addressing global challenges, with key agreements expected to be signed that will benefit both nations across multiple sectors.
