Hyderabad, February, 15, 2025: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Saturday. During the meeting, Reddy invited Gandhi to attend a public meeting in Telangana soon.

Reddy informed Gandhi about the state government’s plans to introduce a Bill on Scheduled Caste (SC) classification during the upcoming budget session. He stated that a commission is reviewing objections from SC sub-castes, and the final report will guide the Bill’s implementation. Reddy emphasized that the caste census in Telangana, aimed at ensuring fair resource distribution, is unbiased and could serve as a model for the nation.
Responding to criticism from opposition parties, Reddy accused them of misleading the public. He also mentioned that a resolution based on the caste survey would be sent to Parliament after approval in the Telangana Assembly.
When asked about recent remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s caste, Reddy denied disrespecting Modi, calling his statements factual. Meanwhile, BJP leaders criticized his comments as irresponsible.
On the possibility of expanding his cabinet, Reddy clarified no discussions took place, stating the decision rests with the Congress leadership.
Reddy affirmed his commitment to fulfilling promises made to voters, dismissing critics who “derive devilish pleasure” from false campaigns against him.
