Hyderabad.19.02.2025: Telangana will host the 72nd Miss World pageant in 2025. The event will begin on May 4 and last for 28 days, with the grand opening and closing ceremonies in Hyderabad. Other locations in the state will also be included in the schedule.
The announcement was made by Julia Morley, chairperson and CEO of Miss World Limited, along with Smita Sabharwal, Secretary of the Telangana Government’s Tourism, Culture, Heritage, and Youth Affairs Department.
The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic, will crown her successor during the grand finale on May 31.
The Miss World Organisation praised Telangana for its safety, hospitality, and international appeal. Julia Morley expressed excitement about bringing the event to Telangana, highlighting its rich culture, innovation, and welcoming atmosphere. She emphasized that the event is not just about beauty but also about empowering communities and promoting diversity.
Smita Sabharwal stated that the event would help showcase Telangana’s traditional handlooms, art, tourist attractions, and cuisine to a global audience.
