Hyderabad, April 15: The Telangana government has started giving cheques to people under the Indiramma House Scheme. This scheme was launched to help poor families in the state build their own houses.

The government wants to support the poorest and most deserving people first. As part of this, the first batch of cheques was given during a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held at the Novotel Hotel in Shamshabad on Tuesday. The meeting was led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
A total of 12 people from different districts of Telangana received cheques. These districts include Rangareddy, Suryapet, Khammam,
Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, and Siddipet. Telugu Lakshmi from Devarakadra and others were among the first to get a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to build their Indiramma house.
Many important leaders attended the meeting, including PCC President Mahesh Goud, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers,MLCs, MLAs, and MPs.
This is a big step by the government to make sure every poor family in Telangana can have a house of their own.
