Hyderabad,30,May,2026: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed state officials to create a single multipurpose Unified Card for every citizen in the state. The order was issued on May 29, 2026, with the aim of consolidating all government welfare benefits and services into one system.

Telangana Unified Card

The Unified Card will store details of welfare benefits and government services spanning multiple departments. The Chief Minister said the card should cover key areas including AarogyaSri health scheme, the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Fees Reimbursement, Labour, and Education departments.

To support the initiative, officials have been instructed to launch a special data collection drive. This drive will gather individual and family-oriented information from all citizens across the state.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the collected data will form the foundation for an AI-based profiling system. He stated that this system will track 360-degree beneficiary data dynamically and remove human interface from the welfare delivery process.

The IT department has been tasked with issuing the Unified Cards centrally, replacing the current model where individual departments issue separate cards. Officials with strong technology skills, particularly younger government employees, have been specifically asked to lead the implementation.

According to the Chief Minister, the Unified Card is intended to make welfare delivery easier to assess, particularly for poor and vulnerable sections of society. The card will serve as a complete profile of each individual across all relevant welfare departments.

The state government has not announced a formal launch date for the Unified Card rollout. Officials are expected to move forward with the data collection drive as the first step toward building the system.
