Hyderabad,March,04,2026: A review meeting on Mulugu irrigation projects was held at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka along with senior officials of the Irrigation Department.
During the meeting, officials presented details on the progress of major irrigation works currently underway in Mulugu district. They explained the status of construction, utilisation of allocated funds and the issues affecting the pace of execution.
The ministers directed officials to ensure that there is no negligence in the implementation of works. They instructed the department to speed up construction and complete the projects within the stipulated timelines.
Emphasis was laid on delivering irrigation water to farmers at the earliest. The ministers said all necessary administrative and technical measures should be taken to remove bottlenecks and maintain steady progress.
Officials were also asked to closely monitor expenditure and ensure proper use of funds allocated for Mulugu irrigation projects. Clear coordination among departments was stressed to avoid delays.
The review was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to monitor infrastructure development in districts. Regular meetings are being conducted to assess project implementation and address challenges at the administrative level.
Mulugu district has several irrigation works aimed at improving water availability for agricultural lands. Completion of these projects is expected to benefit farmers by ensuring timely supply of water for cultivation.
Officials have been instructed to submit periodic progress reports and update the government on milestones achieved in the coming weeks.
