Toyota Kirloskar Motor has retained the Hilux’s proven 2.8-litre diesel engine while enhancing the premium pickup with new technology, improved convenience features, and an upgraded safety package.

Exterior Gets Fresh Styling Updates

The facelifted Hilux retains its rugged design while receiving subtle cosmetic upgrades. Toyota has introduced new diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs), front fog lamps, a rear deck boarding step for easier cargo access, and a tailgate assist function with a lockable rear door.

The pickup is offered in six exterior colours: Sulphur Metallic, Platinum Pearl White Metallic, Attitude Black, Ash, Emotional Red, and Super White.

Cabin Receives Bigger Infotainment Screen

Inside, the Hilux now features a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Toyota i-Connect connected car technology. Other additions include a 360-degree camera, parking assistance, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), improving convenience for both city driving and off-road use.

Designed for Off-Road Capability

The four-wheel-drive variants continue to offer Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), Downhill Assist Control (DAC), and advanced 4WD modes, maintaining the Hilux’s reputation as a capable off-road pickup.

New 4×2 Automatic Expands Buyer Appeal

The introduction of the GX 4×2 automatic variant marks the biggest update to the Hilux range. Earlier, the pickup was available only with four-wheel-drive configurations, limiting its appeal to off-road enthusiasts. The new rear-wheel-drive automatic option is expected to attract customers looking for the Hilux’s rugged styling, reliability, and practicality without requiring full-time four-wheel-drive capability.

Toyota’s latest update aims to position the Hilux as a more versatile lifestyle pickup while retaining its strong performance, safety credentials, and off-road capability.
