New Delhi,April 11,2026: India Post has released the India Post GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 for candidates who applied for the Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment cycle this year. Applicants can now check the supplementary merit list on the official India Post website.

India Post GDS 2nd Merit List

The second merit list has been published for multiple states and postal circles across India. Candidates shortlisted in this round must complete document verification by April 27, 2026, at their respective divisional offices.

The supplementary merit list includes candidates from states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

India Post said that some circles and divisions remain on hold due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct.

Shortlisted candidates must appear for verification with original documents along with two sets of photocopies to confirm eligibility for the recruitment process.

The ongoing GDS recruitment drive aims to fill 28,636 vacancies across the country. Selection is being made entirely through a system-generated merit list based on marks obtained in the Class 10 Secondary School Examination.

The first merit list for the recruitment was announced on March 6, 2026, and document verification for that round concluded on March 23.

India Post has indicated that additional supplementary merit lists may be issued if vacancies remain unfilled after the current verification process.
