Hyderabad.26.01.2025: The Telangana government is bringing good news for farmers and students with two major announcements aimed at providing financial support and educational opportunities.

‘Bharosa’ Funds for Farmers

Under the Rythu Bharosa and Atmiya Bharosa schemes, the state government will deposit funds into beneficiaries’ accounts starting from midnight today. Farmers cultivating crops will receive Rs. 6,000 per acre, while Rs. 6,000 will also be provided to landless agricultural families. Officials have confirmed that the funds will be transferred after 12 AM to ensure a smooth distribution process. This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of families and support agricultural development across Telangana.

Fee Reimbursement for Open University Students

In addition, Chief Minister Revanth announced a fee reimbursement program for students enrolled in open universities. Speaking at the Republic Day celebrations held at Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad, the CM shared that the state government will fully take responsibility for reimbursing fees for open university students. This move aims to make higher education more accessible to students from all backgrounds.

The CM also highlighted plans to increase the retirement age of university professors from 60 to 65 years. Instructions for the fee reimbursement scheme have already been issued to the Chief Secretary to ensure swift implementation.

With these announcements, the Telangana government continues to focus on empowering farmers and supporting the educational aspirations of students, paving the way for a brighter future for the state.
