Hyderabad.09.09.2024: MLA and former minister Harish Rao has stated that he welcomes the Telangana High Court’s decision on the disqualification of certain MLAs.

He noted that the court’s ruling is a setback to the Congress party’s policies. The High Court has confirmed that MLAs who switched parties will be disqualified.

Rao emphasized that the decision supports the principles of democracy and the Constitution. As a result, there will likely be by-elections in constituencies where MLAs have been disqualified for changing parties.
