Hyderabad, March,15,2026: The Telangana government will begin releasing Rythu Bharosa funds to farmers starting March 22. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy decided to transfer the financial assistance directly to farmers’ bank accounts in phases.
The decision was taken during a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. The discussion focused on the schedule and distribution of funds under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
According to the plan, the first phase will begin on March 22 from Siddipet district. During this phase, financial assistance will be transferred to around 70 lakh farmers. The government will release Rs 3,590 crore for farmers owning up to one acre of agricultural land.
The funds will be transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts by the Chief Minister. Officials stated that the distribution will ensure timely financial support to farmers ahead of the agricultural season.
In the second phase, the state government will release another Rs 2,650 crore within the next 20 days. This amount will also be deposited directly into the accounts of eligible farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
The government plans to complete the remaining transfers by the end of April. In total, the scheme will cover about 1.50 crore acres of farmland across the state. The overall financial support planned under the scheme is approximately Rs 9,000 crore.
The meeting reviewing the fund release was attended by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Sheshadri, Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and Agriculture Department Secretary Surendra Mohan along with other senior officials.
Officials stated that the phased release of funds aims to ensure smooth distribution and direct benefit transfer to farmers without delays.
The government will continue releasing the remaining installments over the coming weeks until all eligible farmers receive the financial assistance.
