Hyderabad, July 31: The Supreme Court has given a crucial judgment regarding the disqualification of MLAs who left the BRS party and joined another party. The Court has ordered that a decision must be taken within three months on the petitions related to the disqualification of these MLAs.

A long hearing was held earlier, and today, the Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice BR Gavai delivered the final verdict. The court made it clear that it is not right to delay such petitions for years.

BRS Working President and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) responded strongly to this decision. He called it a historic verdict and welcomed the Supreme Court’s order. KTR said the ruling proves that democracy is still strong and cannot be broken by a few leaders switching parties for their own benefit.

He also reminded that during the last election, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had promised automatic disqualification of leaders who shift parties. KTR challenged Rahul Gandhi to follow his own words and support disqualification in this case.

KTR also mentioned that there is clear proof that 10 MLAs illegally joined another party, and there is no need for any further investigation. He stated that by-elections will likely be held in these 10 constituencies soon and asked party workers to start preparations.

Now, all eyes are on the Telangana Assembly Speaker, who has to take action based on the Supreme Court’s clear orders. The next three months will be very important for Telangana politics.
