Suryapet,March,17,2026: Suryapet cancer surgery was successfully performed at Mana Amma Hospital, where doctors removed a cancerous tumor near the appendix of a woman from a nearby village. The complex operation lasted nearly five hours and was carried out under the supervision of cancer surgery specialist Dr Damuluri Ramu.
Hospital sources said the woman had been suffering from persistent stomach pain for some time. She approached Mana Amma Hospital in Suryapet seeking medical treatment.
Dr Nagarjuna, a general and laparoscopic surgeon, examined the patient and conducted a scan. The diagnostic report revealed a cancerous tumor formed near the appendix.
After confirming the diagnosis, a surgical team led by Dr Damuluri Ramu performed the procedure. During the five hour operation, doctors removed the tumor along with the affected sections of the intestine where the cancer had spread.
The team then carried out an ilioceacal anastomosis surgery to reconnect the intestinal sections after removing the affected area. Doctors said the surgery was successful and the tumor was completely removed.
The operation was supported by a team of doctors including Dr Nagarjuna, Dr Naga Daliya Venna, Dr Indira and Dr Sudheer Kumar along with the hospital’s medical staff.
The successful surgery highlights the availability of advanced surgical treatment in Suryapet. Local patients can now receive complex procedures without traveling to major cities for treatment.
The patient is currently under medical observation and receiving post operative care at the hospital.
