The PIL stated that apps like 1xBET, Fairplay, and Myjackpot777 were being advertised on Metro trains and at stations. The complaint raised concerns about the legality of these promotions and their possible negative impact on the public.

In response, HMRL’s lawyer Tejaswini Mereddy denied these claims. However, the High Court asked HMRL to submit a detailed reply with proof showing that no such ads were being allowed in the Metro system.
