Hyderabad, March,16,2026: Unseasonal rains in Telugu states affected daily life on Monday morning as several districts reported continuous rainfall. Areas in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh experienced showers from early morning, causing waterlogging in many locations.

Unseasonal rains in Telugu states

The unseasonal rains were reported in multiple districts including Hyderabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Alluri, and Visakhapatnam. Rainfall began early in the morning and continued in several places, affecting regular movement and activities.

In Hyderabad, several key areas witnessed heavy rainfall and water accumulation on roads. Localities such as Ameerpet, Jubilee Hills, Yousufguda, Gachibowli, Hitech City, Madhapur, and Sanath Nagar reported rain since early morning hours.

Due to the rainfall, many streets in these areas experienced waterlogging. The situation slowed traffic movement and created inconvenience for commuters travelling to workplaces and schools.

Residents in several parts of the city reported that continuous rain since dawn disrupted their morning routines. Water accumulation on roads and in low-lying areas made movement difficult in some neighbourhoods.

Rainfall was also recorded in northern Telangana districts including Adilabad, Nirmal, and Nizamabad. At the same time, parts of Andhra Pradesh such as Alluri district and Visakhapatnam also experienced showers.

The sudden change in weather conditions brought unseasonal rains across these regions. The rainfall affected normal public movement and daily activities in both urban and semi-urban areas.

Several residential and commercial localities in Hyderabad remained waterlogged for some time as rain continued during the morning hours. People travelling through busy IT and commercial corridors including Gachibowli, Hitech City, and Madhapur faced delays.

The rainfall across districts in both Telugu states highlighted the widespread nature of the weather event. Authorities and residents continued to monitor the situation as rains persisted in parts of the region.

The unseasonal rains caused inconvenience to the public and disrupted normal routines in many locations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during the early hours of the day.
