United States, March,15,2026: US President Donald Trump Iran deal remarks have drawn attention as the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues. Speaking on March 15, 2026, Trump said Iran is willing to negotiate but the United States is not prepared to accept a deal yet.

In a telephonic interview with NBC News, US President Donald Trump said Iran wants to reach an agreement to end the ongoing conflict. However, he stated that the conditions currently being discussed are not strong enough for the United States to agree.

Trump said the terms of any agreement must be very solid before Washington considers ending the war. When asked about the possible conditions for a ceasefire, he declined to provide details but indicated that Iran giving up its nuclear ambitions would likely be a key requirement.

“Iran wants to make a deal, and I don’t want to make it because the terms aren’t good enough yet,” Trump told NBC News. He added that any agreement between the two sides must meet strong conditions.

According to a report by Reuters, the US administration is currently focused on continuing military operations rather than entering negotiations. A senior White House official told Reuters that the president is not interested in a deal at this time.

The official said the United States plans to continue its military mission without interruption. Another senior official said potential new leadership in Iran has indicated interest in talks, but discussions are not expected to begin immediately.

The report added that the ongoing military campaign, referred to as Operation Epic Fury, is continuing.

Sources cited by Reuters in Iran said Tehran has rejected attempts by several countries to mediate a ceasefire. Iran has demanded a permanent end to US and Israeli airstrikes and compensation as conditions for any ceasefire agreement.

The conflict intensified after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Iran later responded with attacks targeting several countries in the Middle East.

Trump said he was surprised by Iran’s decision to attack multiple countries in the region following the strikes. He also praised US allies in the Middle East for their response.

“I was very surprised,” Trump said, referring to Iran’s actions. He added that US partners including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia had supported the United States during the conflict.

The situation in the region remains tense as military operations continue and diplomatic efforts to end the conflict have not yet succeeded.
