Manuguru.01.08.2024: In a scathing statement, Rega Kantharao, the Telangana former Government Whip and ex-MLA of Pinapaka, has criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for making disparaging comments about Smt.Sabita Indra Reddy during a recent assembly session. Kantharao expressed his outrage over the incident, calling Revanth Reddy’s remarks “degrading” and “unworthy of a Chief Minister.”
Rega Kantharao accused Revanth Reddy of lowering the dignity of the Assembly and running a “demonic regime” in the guise of public governance. He stated that the Assembly, once respected, has now been turned into a “Kaurava Sabha” under Revanth Reddy’s leadership. Kantharao further alleged that the Chief Minister’s behavior during the budget meeting was factional and that he had insulted Sabita Indra Reddy in an unprecedented manner.
In his remarks, Rega Kantharao highlighted the contrast between the respect shown by former Congress leader Rajasekhar Reddy towards Sabita Indra Reddy, whom he treated like a younger sister, and the disrespect shown by Revanth Reddy. Kantharao questioned whether humiliating women was now the policy of the Congress party.
He also criticized Except the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme, accusing the government of failing to fulfill its promises and now resorting to insulting women legislators. Kantharao warned that Sabita Indra Reddy’s curse would lead to Revanth Reddy losing his position, stating that the Chief Minister’s days in office are numbered.
Rega Kantharao demanded a public apology from Revanth Reddy, emphasizing that no government that insults women can survive. He concluded his statement by asserting that the Congress government would face dire consequences for its actions.
