Hyderabad.30.08.2024: The Mandal Parishad Primary School in Bangarupally hamlet of Kanthanapally panchayat, located under Kannigudem mandal in Mulugu district, stands as a symbol of neglect. With just a mud-tiled roof and a few pillars, the school lacks a proper building, leaving young students to study on the floor.

Established in 2007 by Girijan tribals who upgraded their small settlement into a village with 34 houses and a population of nearly 150, the primary school was meant to serve the local community. However, despite 17 years of operation, the school still functions in a makeshift structure without basic amenities, conducting classes from Class One to Five.

Villagers expressed their frustration with the lack of support from the Education Department, blaming it for failing to provide a permanent school building. The situation is particularly concerning given that the school falls under the constituency of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D. Anasuya, also known as Seethakka.
