Hyderabad, March,22,2026: KVS Admissions 2026-27 notification has been officially released for admissions into Kendriya Vidyalaya schools across India. The admission process for Balvatika and Class 1 has started from March 20 and will continue until April 2.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan announced the admission schedule for the academic year 2026-27. These schools operate under the central government and follow the CBSE syllabus.
According to the notification, online registration for Balvatika and Class 1 admissions began on March 20 at 10 AM. The last date to apply online is April 2. Parents can submit applications through the official admission website https://admission.kvs.gov.in.
For admissions from Class 2 to Class 9 and Balvatika 2, offline registration will be conducted from April 2 to April 8 at respective schools based on available vacancies.
The first merit list for Balvatika admissions will be released on April 8. The Class 1 first merit list will be released on April 9. If required, second and third lists will be released on April 16 and April 21. The complete admission process will continue until July 31, 2026.
Age eligibility has also been specified. As of March 31, 2026, the age for Balvatika 1 should be between 3 and 4 years, Balvatika 2 between 4 and 5 years, and Balvatika 3 between 5 and 6 years. For Class 1 admission, the child must be at least 6 years old. Children born on April 1 will also be considered eligible. Age relaxation is applicable for differently abled students as per rules.
Reservation policy includes 15 percent seats for SC, 7.5 percent for ST, 27 percent for OBC Non Creamy Layer, and 3 percent for differently abled students. Priority will be given to children of central government employees, followed by state government employees and ex servicemen.
For Class 1 and Balvatika admissions, applications must be submitted only through online mode. For higher classes, parents need to visit the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya schools and apply offline depending on seat availability.
Documents required during application include birth certificate, residence proof, caste certificate if applicable, government employee service certificate, and passport size photographs. Officials advised parents to fill applications carefully as document verification will be strict.
Admissions for Class 11 will begin after the Class 10 results are announced.
