Bhatti and Bandi Boarding Helicopter Amid Flood Crisis Sparks Outrage

Hyderabad.07.09.2024: A video of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka boarding a helicopter went viral on social media, igniting widespread criticism from netizens. The leaders’ aerial visit to flood-affected areas in Khammam and other locations has sparked questions about their priorities and coordination during the crisis.

The controversy emerged after reports revealed that while citizens were caught in devastating floods, pleading with the state government for rescue operations, no helicopter was made available to airlift them. This occurred despite two Indian Air Force helicopters being on standby at Hakimpet station.

The viral videos led to a flurry of social media posts, where many questioned the apparent lack of commitment from the leaders to rescue stranded people during the flood crisis. BRS leader Krishank Manne shared a video on X, commenting, “The BJP and Congress, which failed to coordinate a helicopter to rescue people during floods, are flying in a helicopter together today.”

Dr. Anil Kumar, another user on X, criticized the situation, stating, “Helicopter is readily available for them now, but it was not available for rescue and relief during floods.” Adding to the criticism, Faheem Shaiktrs sarcastically referred to the leaders as “Bade Bhai Chote Bhai” (Big Brother, Little Brother).

The incident has sparked a heated debate online, with many citizens expressing their frustration and disappointment at the perceived lack of responsiveness from political leaders during a time of crisis.
